Professional Development

Torrey Pines recognizes that a critical factor in student achievement is effectively supporting our staff of professionals. Important components of that support include addressing teachers' particular needs in terms of curriculum content and instructional strategies, and providing opportunities for classified staff to build efficiency and new skills.

Our district's Strategic Plan incorporates the following goals for staff development:

We will create and implement an innovative, comprehensive recruitment and staff development plan, producing a world-class workforce. Our priorities are to have a site driven staff development plan connected to student achievement.

To further those goals at Torrey Pines, this site is compiled for use by our teachers and staff. We've applied an informal rating system to most of the professional development opportunities listed on the adjoining pages to help you in your consideration.
